About the Opportunity
Michell Wool is looking for a full-time Forklift Driver based in Salisbury South, SA.
This hands-on Forklift Driver role reports to the Logistics Team Leader and will be responsible for the movement and staging of wool ready for our processing plant and/or the loading of truck/containers for distribution.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Loading/unloading all inbound and outbound arrivals and dispatch
- Container loading using a 4-tonne forklift
- Marshall wool into production preparation area using forklift
- Maintain tidy work area, and operate sweeping unit
- Assist in monthly inventory accuracy, including cycle counts and reconciliation
About You
To qualify, you will need a forklift licence (4-tonne) and be experienced in working within a fast-paced warehouse environment. While not essential, prior exposure to the wool industry and Talman software would be highly regarded.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Familiarity with dispatch systems and documentation
- Experience with the use of a Grab attachment on a forklift
- Experience with cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and warehouse stack allocations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of safe work practices
- Certificate IV in Warehousing or Logistics
