Your Role: Wool Store Coordinator
As a Wool Store Coordinator, utilising your existing knowledge, you will be a crucial part of our NSW/Victoria team based in Corowa. This role is designed to deepen your understanding of wool characteristics and processing, laying the groundwork for your marketing career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced Wool Handling & Sorting: Apply your wool classing expertise to precise sorting, grading, and stacking of wool, ensuring optimal quality and efficiency.
- Load planning: Configure wool loads to optimise accuracy and efficiency.
- Pressing & Baling Operations: Pressing of wool into bales, adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
- Door Buying: With the support of our Industry Leaders, conduct door buying for our clients.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively as a vital member of the Michell Direct team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
Your Future: Pathway to Wool Marketing Specialist
This position is designed with your growth in mind. While mastering your processing specialist role, you will simultaneously embark on a structured development program aimed at transitioning you into a Wool Marketing Specialist. This includes:

Qualifications & Experience:
- Essential: Hold a Wool Classing certificate.
- Required: Proven experience in the wool industry, demonstrating a strong understanding of wool characteristics and handling.
- Desired: Forklift Lift and a MR licence or the willingness to obtain.
- Physically fit and capable of performing the demands of a processing role.
- A strong desire to establish a long-term career in the wool industry, with a clear interest in marketing.
- Eager to learn new skills and embrace continuous professional development.
- Possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
