About the Opportunity
Michell Wool is looking for a full-time Logistics Coordinator based in Salisbury South, SA.
This hands-on leadership role reports to the Logistics Team Leader and will be responsible for coordinating daily warehouse and transport operations while supervising a small logistics team. This is a succession-planned opportunity, with the view of progressing into a Logistics Manager position in the coming years.
- More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Participating in daily toolbox meetings and allocating team duties
- Overseeing dispatch and receivals, including paperwork and systems input
- Operating forklifts, particularly grab forklifts used for wool handling
- Collaborating across departments to ensure timely and efficient deliveries
- Coordinating outbound deliveries and liaising with transport providers
- Maintaining inventory accuracy, including cycle counts and reconciliation
- Supporting compliance with OH&S, environmental, and safety standards
- Assisting in training and mentoring staff
- Monitoring team performance and aligning with KPIs
About You
To qualify, you will need a forklift licence (4-tonne) and experience in logistics or warehouse coordination. While not essential, prior exposure to the wool industry and Talman software would be highly regarded.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Familiarity with dispatch systems and documentation
- Experience with cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and warehouse stack allocations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of safe work practices and chemical handling
- Certificate IV in Warehousing or Logistics
